"If a friend were like this I'd tell them to rest. For myself it's unacceptable."
Therapy in Rotterdam for burnout & boundaries
I work with internationals in the Netherlands who put everyone else first – at work, at home, with friends. For years that worked. Now they’re exhausted and nobody has noticed.
In person in Rotterdam or online. First session usually within a week.
If this is why you're here
You say yes when you mean no. You hear yourself doing it.
You’d tell a friend in your state to rest. You won’t let yourself.
You’re tired in a way that sleeping doesn’t touch.
You’ve probably already read the advice about pausing before you answer and treating no as a complete sentence. If you’ve tried that and it didn’t hold, there’s a reason – and it isn’t that you lack discipline.
A bit about me
I’m Panos Georgakis, an integrative therapist working in Rotterdam and online.
I completed my postgraduate training in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at the University of Derby, where I also studied Counselling Psychology. Alongside that, I trained in Coaching Psychology at the Athens Coaching Institute and in Adult Education at Panteion University.
I work exclusively with adults, with more than 3,500 hours of clinical experience.
All of my clinical work is supervised, and my practice follows recognised professional and ethical standards.
Other issues I work with
What’s written above is one way of arriving. People also come with anxiety, with grief, with a relationship that keeps breaking in the same place, or with a life that changed shape and hasn’t settled. All of it belongs here.
Anxiety & panic attacks
Worry you can’t switch off, or sudden physical panic that comes without warning.
Grief
After a loss – a person, but also a marriage, a home, or work that mattered to you.
Anger
You snap at small things, and then feel bad about it for the rest of the day.
Low mood
You’re not sad exactly. You’re flat, slowed down, and nothing feels like much.
Life transitions
A move, a separation, a job that ended. Months later, you still don’t feel settled.
The same argument, again
The fight you keep having with your partner, or the one that follows you from relationship to relationship.
