Mental Health Counseling
What is Counseling?
Counseling is the art of helping. It essentially involves a relationship that develops between the Counselor and the client, aiming to assist the client with issues that concern them.
Counseling helps you find solutions to matters related to your interpersonal relationships, your relationship with yourself, your family and social environment, and to manage emotions that cause you discomfort.
How Counseling Can Help You
- To answer the question: “Who am I?”
- To manage internal conflicts.
- To cope with depression.
- To improve your relationships with friends or romantic partners.
- To answer the question: “What is the meaning of my life?”
- To handle difficult situations at work.
- To manage panic attacks.
- To navigate conflicts in your relationships.
The Counseling Process
Counseling is a therapeutic relationship. As this relationship develops, your self-awareness will increase, along with your ability to find solutions to the issues that concern you.
Through this relationship, you will see yourself change, discover your strengths, enhance your ability to manage emotions, and find answers to questions that you have previously been unable to answer.
What DOES NOT Happen in Counseling
Although the word “Counseling” may suggest giving advice, in reality, advice is not provided during the counseling process.
Throughout our collaboration, I will be there to listen to you attentively and help you in very specific ways to unlock your potential and find your own answers.
By the end of the process, you will be able to continue “advising” yourself without needing my assistance.
